My Autumn Home Reveal
As soon as the first leaves start to turn, I reach for the autumn décor boxes. There’s something about rich rusts, golden ambers, and those little pops of pumpkin orange that makes our home feel instantly cosy. This year I went all in—layering textures, mixing metallics, and letting every corner tell a little story.
✨ Cinderella Porch Magic
Before you even step through the door, our porch sets the scene. I wanted it to feel magical and slightly whimsical, so I channelled my favourite Disney princess: Cinderella.
Clusters of pale pumpkins spill across the steps, woven through with blue ribbon and strings of pearls—a quiet nod to her gown and the borrowed beads of the stepsisters. Tucked amongst the pumpkins is a giant key, a playful reference to Jacques and Gus Gus bravely climbing the stairs to free Cinderella.

“From a Cinderella-inspired porch to a pumpkin-filled kitchen, every room tells an autumn story.”

🍁 Living Room Glow
Inside, the living room is pure comfort. A garland of coppery leaves drapes across the oak beam above our stove, while berry-tipped candles add a soft flicker as the evenings draw in. Cushions in pumpkin tones and a checked throw invite you to curl up with a mug of spiced tea. Metallic pumpkins and pinecones bring sparkle without clutter.

☕ Kitchen & Coffee Corner

The kitchen is the heart of our home, and autumn is the perfect excuse to dress it up. A garland crowns the window, and a simple wreath above the cooker ties the look together.
My tiered coffee station is where the fun really happens: mini pumpkins, caramel syrups, and a candle or two make every latte feel like a café treat. Even the sink area gets a seasonal smile with a “Hello Fall” tea towel and a pumpkin-patch mat underfoot.
Every latte tastes better when it’s served with a sprinkle of autumn magic.

🍂 Dining Room Gatherings

The dining room is ready for family dinners and impromptu get-togethers. The dresser is dotted with small pumpkins and woodland creatures, while an autumn garland frames the shelves. On the table, woven placemats and low arrangements of leaves and candles create an easy, welcoming setting—no need to wait for a special occasion to light them.
📚 Cosy Reading Nook

One of my favourite spots is the little window seat at the end of the hallway. With its built-in drawers and soft pumpkin-print cushion, it’s the perfect place to read on chilly afternoons. Overhead, a garland of maple leaves catches the light, and a wreath on the window adds a final pop of colour.
Bringing It All Together
What I love most about decorating for autumn is that it’s not about perfection—it’s about atmosphere. A few well-placed garlands, a handful of pumpkins in different textures, and plenty of soft lighting can transform an ordinary space into something truly inviting.
If you’re feeling inspired, start small: a cluster of candles, a single garland over a mirror, or a bowl of pinecones on the table. Before you know it, you’ll have a home that feels as warm and golden as the season itself.
