Returning from Disney & Embracing the Season of “Back to Me”
After 17 magical (and slightly chaotic!) days in Florida… we’re home.
Disney and Universal were everything we dreamed of — magical meet-and-greets, thrilling rides, fairy-tale makeovers, and even a few “we’ll laugh about this later” moments involving delayed luggage and recycled outfits (Rob, I’m looking at you 😅).

Watching Sophia live out her princess dreams at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, riding Seven Dwarfs Mine Train for the first time, and dancing with characters at DVC events were moments I’ll treasure forever. Even though I had blisters on my feet and about five fewer hours of sleep than I’d like — it was pure magic.
But now… we’re back.
And truthfully, I’m ready for it.
🍂 September: My Favourite Kind of New Year
There’s something about September that has always felt like my true new year. Maybe it’s the school shoes, the return of routine, or the crispness in the air that whispers “fresh start.” This year especially, with Sophia starting school for the first time and my salon hours shifting, it really does feel like a transition season.
A return not just home, but back to me.
The summer has been full-on — parenting, business, travel, heatwaves, airport chaos — and now that the chaos is settling, I feel a strong pull to reset. To reclaim my mornings, re-centre my energy, and step into autumn with calm and intention.
🕯️ A Season of Self-Care (and Something Cosy Coming Soon…)
September for me is all about the little rituals:
✨ Skin that feels calm, hydrated and glowy again
✨ Switching out summer routines for autumn rhythm
✨ Early mornings, candles lit, a hot coffee before the world wakes
✨ Warm tones in the salon, and a sprinkle of pumpkin spice (maybe 😉)

You may have noticed I’ve been asking over on Instagram about your favourite autumn things… well, let’s just say I’ve got something cosy brewing behind the scenes — and I think it’ll be the perfect scent to welcome you back to The Pamper Shed this season.
✨ What’s Next at The Pamper Shed?
As we settle back in, here’s what’s coming:
- A full return to my regular working hours (with earlier daytime slots now Sophia’s in school!)
- A “Back to Me” focus across treatments and content — skincare tips, mini rituals, and booking reminders to help you reset too
- A little surprise launch that’s been quietly cooking in the background (stay tuned)
- And finally moving over to a new temporary space.
So here’s to fairy tales and falling leaves…
To the magic of holidays and the joy of home.
To princess dresses and pumpkin spice.
To the chaos of summer… and the calm of September.

Welcome back to The Shed Diaries — and welcome to the cosiest season of them all. 🍁
