A heartfelt look back as The Pamper Shed turns 5

This week, The Pamper Shed turns five. And if I’m completely honest… I’m feeling a little emotional writing that.

What started as a dream — tucked into a converted garden space during a pandemic — has grown into something far more meaningful than I ever imagined. The Pamper Shed has become a place of calm, connection, and confidence for so many, and the past five years have been filled with laughter, love, and so much growth — both personally and professionally.

The Early Days: Masks, Makeovers & Milestones

When I opened in 2020, we were all navigating a world full of uncertainty. I was wearing a mask more than my own face, dashing between lockdowns and safety guidelines. Many of my earliest clients didn’t even know what I looked like under the PPE! But you showed up. And not just once — again and again. Through two more lockdowns, through wobbles and restarts — you came back. You believed in me.

And that belief carried me through some of the most defining moments of my life. While The Shed grew, so did my family. Many of you stood by me as I stepped into motherhood, first through fostering, and then adoption. Sophia is now a confident, sparkly 4-year-old, and so many of you have watched her grow with me — always offering encouragement, advice, and the kindest words.

Decking Memories & Shed Stories

As part of this week’s celebrations, I’ve been reflecting on our iconic little decking area. That space has seen bridal parties, baby showers, festive fizz, and more themed décor moments than I can count! It’s been the heart of so many gatherings — and now, as I prepare to move into a brand new salon space in 2026, decorating it one last time felt truly special. If those floorboards could talk, they’d tell some beautiful stories.

We’re not done yet.

In fact, this week has reminded me just how much more I want to create. With the new salon space on the horizon and fresh ideas blooming daily, I’m so excited for what’s ahead.

But this week — this week has been for pausing. For honouring the journey. For thanking you, properly.
