Let me set the scene…I confidently walk into my treatment room, ready to prep for my next client. I’ve got purpose, poise, and a plan… until I stop. And stare. Wait. What did I come in here for again? 🤔
Welcome to the world of menopausal brain fog—where short-term memory takes a short-term break and every room in the house becomes a mystery adventure.
The Fog is Real
Since entering the delightful land of perimenopause, brain fog has become a regular visitor. It’s like someone’s pulled the plug on my short-term memory, and every to-do list suddenly feels like it was written in invisible ink.
I’ve lost count of the times I’ve:
Forgotten why I walked into a room
Called a client “lovely” because I blanked on her name (even though I’ve seen her for YEARS)
Left my cuppa in the microwave… again
Stared at my phone, forgot who I was texting, and gave up
And honestly? I know I’m not alone.
Why I’m Sharing This
Because if you’ve ever felt like you’re losing your mind—you’re not. It’s just the hormones doing their thing. And as women, we need to talk about this more openly, with a bit of humour and a whole lot of kindness to ourselves.
That’s why The Pamper Shed is a no-pressure zone. Forget what facial you booked? We’ll figure it out. Can’t remember what day it is? Me neither. Need a quiet moment where nobody expects you to think, explain, or decide anything? That’s literally what I do best.

Let’s Be Real Together
Menopause isn’t all hot flushes and mood swings (though it’s definitely that too). It’s a time of transition, laughter, and letting go of the idea that we have to have it all together. Some days we do. Some days we forget where we parked.
Either way, you’re always welcome here. Fog, flushes, forgotten phones and all.
💭 Ever been personally victimised by brain fog? Tell me your funniest moment in the comments — I’d love to laugh with you (and probably forget about it five minutes later 😉).
